Toyota Recalls 4 Million Vehicles And Post A Surprise Profit

On Tuesday Toyota announced the recall of 110,000 pick up trucks, and on wednesday they announed the recall 4 million vehicles and replace the current gas pedals with smart gas pedals.
Toyota was still able to post a surprise profit for Q3 2009.

New Home Sales Go Up In October

CNNMoney.com reported today that new construction homes sales went up in October. This is good indication for the economy.

Gov. David Paterson Is Proposing Budget Cuts

Almost 20% of Americans are Underemployed

Nearly 1 in 5 Americans are either unemployed or under-employed.
According to the government’s broadest measure of unemployment, some 17.5 percent are either without a job entirely or underemployed. The so-called U-6 number is at the highest rate since becoming an official labor statistic in 1994.

Rasmussen reports that now only 38% of the voters support health care reform and 56% oppose the new bill. The support for the bill fell after the senate vote on Saturday night. Partially because the health care reform bill meant more taxes.
